The Orkney Furniture Maker, Kevin Gauld is the creator of fine, handmade Orkney furniture ranging from traditional styles including the straw back Orkney Chair to his more modern designed tables inspired by the islands themselves.

Kevin left school at the age of 16 to launch his much desired career with an apprenticeship with a well known local furniture maker with the reputation of high quality craftsmanship. Here, he continued to work and expand his skill for 9 years bringing him to the right time to investigate his own ideas and designs which then led to the launch of The Orkney Furniture Maker.

Every piece from Kevin's collection is individually made and is therefore, unique to the customer. As TOFM is a one man workshop, customers are guaranteed a one to one basis with Kevin allowing him to create the ideal piece.

The Orkney Furniture Maker uses only the best quality materials for his furniture including Oak, Mahogany, Oat straw, Seagrass and even Orkney Slate to create his stunning products.
