Naoko graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2004 and has a diploma in jewellery from Hiko Mizuno College of Jewellery in Tokyo. 

She wants to bring paper, which is prized for its lightness and versatility in Japan, to a new audience by using it as a jewellery material.

She was the main designer at one of the top five jewellery companies in Japan before coming to Scotland and her work has been featured in Japanese magazines Vingtaine, 25 ans and Oggi as well as Crafts magazine in the UK.

She has exhibited at New Designers, Gallery Marzee Graduate Show, New Designers: Expo Arte Smykkedesign in Oslo and Dazzle, the contemporary jewellery exhibition, in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
