Personal Statement

I am a freelance designer and illustrator with a love of handmade design. My work is inspired by pattern, Japanese textile and kimono designs. I create unique artwork in the form of embroidered prints and textile art, inspired by fashion, art and craft.

I use hand and machine embroidery on vintage and recycled fabric. My work focuses on layering imagery with pattern and collage, using fashion imagery to create surface decoration rich in detail and embellishment.
