My work aspires to elevate value in materials and techniques. Focus for work is driven between pattern and material explorations. I believe there are no boundaries in jewellery, no more the 'must haves' of precious metals and jewels. My material choice is vast from gold leaf, gold plating and silver to less common materials - nylon, steel, magnets, leather and nylon plated wire. Currently I am creating pieces for the body that are works of art for the body not just pretty, expensive objects, more unique art forms that are affordable and unseen before.
Accessibility is an important factor in my work both in terms of cost and wearability. Traditional jewellery forms such as necklaces, earrings, brooches, rings and bracelets are predominate, but there is also engagement with accessories and technology. I have a strong desire and foundation to continue the route of designing and making.
