workwool offers those who work with wool an exciting new collection of handspun organic and biodynamic knitting and tapestry yarns – a contemporary take on an indigenous craft
Being part of the transformation process from fleece to finished piece of textile work provides challenges and satisfaction in equal measure for both myself and my partner.
Wool has always been an important part of the indigenous craft of Scotland. Through the medium of contemporary yarn design, we explore the many textural differences achieved by the simple process of applying a twist to fleece.
Working with only organic or biodynamic wools means following our deeply held ideals, but this is not without reward - we are always drawn to and fascinated by intrinsic and outstanding qualities these wools yield.
