I am a contemporary maker and visual artist based in Banffshire, on the Moray Firth Coast of Scotland.
I trained as a sculptor, and work principally in cast and hand-made paper. (I have also worked over a long period as a metalworker, forging, constructing and casting in steel, bronze and iron).
My current work takes the form of sculptural relief - most has a landscape or maritime influence and is informed by the effects of light and the elements on sea and sky, where celestial bodies, cloud, landscape and wave forms become fused.
It is important to me to use recycled and waste materials, transforming the most mundane, such as office paper, packaging and junk mail, into something contemplative or thought-provoking.
I work on a variety of small and large-scale projects and commissioned works, for domestic indoor spaces and the public realm.
I welcome studio visits (by arrangement).
