About Claire Ferrier - Silver-fusion

Personal Statement

My name is Claire Ferrier and 'Silver-fusion' is my young and exciting Jewellery business. I design and hand craft Jewellery using mainly .925 Sterling Silver, on occasion I also use Copper and Brass. I incorporate different gemstones, dichroic glass cabochons and beads into my work, creating added colour and interest to selected pieces. I also like to introduce different textures to the Silver when I feel a design would benefit from this. For inspiration I look to past and current fashions, art Deco design and aspects of nature.

I have studied Jewellery design at Carnegie College in Dunfermline, where I learned new techniques and gained valued experience. I am looking forward to continuing there in the near future. I have recently moved to the beautiful Kingdom of Fife where we live five minutes from the shoreline, with stunning views of the Forth Bridges and over to Edinburgh. My workshop is at home where many of my ideas come to fruition.

I have always had a passion for Jewellery and whenever I saw a piece that caught my eye I could rarely pass it by....even to this day! It is very satisfying when a piece comes together as planned, and I hope my designs will bring pleasure to other Jewellery enthusiasts like myself.

I would describe my Jewellery as simple yet eye-catching, contemporary and very wearable!
