About Lindsey Gardiner - Quietly Eccentric

Personal Statement

Lindsey Gardiner’s “Quietly Eccentric” textile product range "For The Love of Dogs" is now available. Better known by youngsters for her children’s books, the author was originally trained as a textile designer when she fell into the publishing world.
Her debut range "For The Love of Dogs" is exactly that. Combining her love of print, drawing and of course, dogs, it features 12 different dogs with floral patterns printed onto cotton tote bags, dog shaped wool cushions and mugs. All “Quietly eccentric” products are hand screen printed and stitched by Lindsey who originally graduated in printed textiles. McLaggan Smith mugs produce a range of eight mugs which feature at all major trade fairs.
After a successful ten years writing and illustrating children’s books (which are published all over the world in many languages), Lindsey has returned to her printing roots to bring her drawings to life in a different but equally quirky and colourful way.
Lindsey also does gallery exhibitions and commissions and has a new range of work on wood combining her screen printing process and painting in a unique way. This is an idea she is taking to the greetings cards market and possibly stationery and prints.
