About Fiona Crombie - Seashore Gallery

Personal Statement

In 1985 Fiona learned the technique of lamp worked glass from Ed Iglehart, who was senior lecturer in glass at Sunderland polytechnic. Fiona was then invited to join British Artists in Glass where she developed her skills in Stained Glass at Edinburgh Art College.
Fiona’s work is influenced by the sea around her and she incorporates drift wood into some of her designs along with wire and texture. Fused glass birds, boats, seascapes and fish are all popular but Fiona is versatile and can produce abstract panels for the modern home as well as traditional leaded windows, commissions and repairs.
Fiona produces bright and vibrant fused and stained glass from small window hangings and gifts to full size windows. Her work is varied and creative, from traditional to contemporary pieces in copper foil and in lead. Fiona exhibits in a number of galleries and sells her work widely.

Year Established: February 2012

Achievements
