We are professional basket makers living in Central Scotland between Stirling and Perth. We produce hand made basketry of traditional and contemporary design from natural, coloured willow that we grow organically. Growing the willow is an integral part of our making process; cutting by hand and drying and grading the harvest gives such an intimate connection with our raw material that it truly inspires us. The versatility and uniqueness of each individual willow rod becomes the dictating factor and driving force in the design and form of our work
So…..if you want to carry logs and sit them by the hearth or store the kids’ toys in something not plastic or watch your sweet peas spiral up a woven tower or bring the washing in off the line or pick mushrooms in your local woodland or catch lobsters out in the bay or stand your walking poles in the hall or watch a willow fish dance in your garden or just look at a lovely piece of art work, then we can make the basket to suit you.
We are always seeking to promote understanding and appreciation of this heritage craft. To this end, we sell direct at national and international events and craft fairs, we exhibit at galleries and specialist outlets and provide demonstrations and courses for beginners and improvers as well as undertaking commissions and repairs. We are always pleased to consult on any aspect of willow culture.
