An Tobar is the Arts centre for the islands of Mull and Iona, based in Tobermory's former Victorian school and delivering a year-round programme for all ages and interests. Gallery I shows a regularly-changing programme of the very best of contemporary visual arts and crafts.
The cafe and shop (which offers a stunning view of Tobermory Bay!) presents ceramics, woodcarvings, photography, and textiles by local artists and makers in addition to a range of fair trade crafts and instruments from around the world. An Tobar is committed to promoting the work of local professionals working and living on the islands and maintains the Mull & Iona Artists and Makers Register.
An Tobar also offers a year-round programme of arts and crafts workshops and runs an Artist in Residence programme, bringing visual artists and makers to live and work on Mull & Iona.
Year Established: 1995
