Personal Statement

Art Room 59 newly opened in autumn 2005 and is situated on the outskirts of Dunfermline town centre.

The Gallery provides a showcase for Scottish artists, craftspeople and designers, many of whom are local to Dunfermline and Fife. Owned by Ruth Walls, a design graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, the gallery offers an eclectic mix of original and very affordable paintings, screen prints, mixed media work, ceramics, glass, sculpture and jewellery.

Along side sits textile inspired interior art, wall hangings, feltwork, mirrors, lamps together with an imaginative array of gift ideas and hand crafted cards.

Bright and modern, the gallery provides an ideal setting for exhibitions, and a space where newly emerging graduates and artists can exhibit their work along side those who have already established themselves as artists and designers.
