Fran trained at Duncan of Jordanstone Art College in Dundee and acheived her degree (B.Des Hons. 2.1) in 2000, and MFA from Grays in 2005. She has since worked in a community arts context in Hospitals, schools and colleges teaching and making ceramic murals with groups. Fran has exhibited in many different galleries in Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee and Glasgow. Fran enjoys exhibiting in her own studio-gallery where she can talk directly to customers and visitors about her and others work. She teaches classes from home for a maximum of 8 people so can give individual attention. She has been Newsletter Editor and Chair of the Scottish Potters Association. She is currently Chair of Angus Open studios having started this organisation in 2011.
