Julie Hanlon Cole studied Creative Arts with Textile Design in the 80's then began work in retail buying before leaving to have her children. This career break gave Julie the opportunity to start designing and working with fabric again. Julie began making gifts and cards for her friends and this slowly blossomed into Angelcake Designs.
Julie works with a collection of vintage and modern fabrics and buttons to make personalised cushions, aprons, bags and cards with appliqued designs.
All her items are made to order and she undertakes commissions using fabrics from customers to make appliques from a favourite piece of clothing to incorporate into a cushion creating a special keepsake.
