About Anne Lindsay

Personal Statement

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Anne Lindsay designs and makes contemporary jewellery and silverware, having studied at Edinburgh College of Art and worked with some of Scotland's most respected jewellers. Inspired by unusual textures and surface patterns, Anne's prizewinning work is exhibited in galleries across the UK. Anne intends her work to be both wearable and beautiful. Anne works in a variety of materials, including silver and 18ct gold to create individual and unusual jewellery and silverware. As well as a wide selection of jewellery, including earrings, rings, brooches, bracelets, bangles, cufflinks, pendants, necklaces and kilt pins, Anne also makes some silversmithing items. Apart from the existing ranges of work, Anne is interested in undertaking special commissions and will adapt existing designs to suit individual requirements. Anne has worked on a wide range of one-off or special commissions, including a pair of gold wedding rings, a silver spoon for a christening present and a set of napkin rings for a silver wedding. She has also interpreted traditional items in her own style such as a modern kilt pin and a large pierced plaid brooch.
