About Me

Personal Statement

Green Thomas are design duo Emma Green and Alan Thomas Dibble.
They met on the first day of their MA Fashion Knitwear course at Central Saint Martins in the nineties and have remained friends ever since. In 2015 they launched Green Thomas.
They are inspired by the tradition and heritage of the Scottish knitwear industry and apply their expertise to create beautifully contemporary products.
Everything is designed in their studio using graph paper and pencil and then translated into knitting patterns. It is then tested on our studio knitting machines before the production range is knitted in a small family run factory in the Scottish Borders, an area world renowned for the quality and high level of workmanship of its knitwear.
Having quickly gained a following for their brand, Green Thomas now sells in high-end boutiques and luxury department stores in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA.
With an initial focus on fashion accessories, the range has developed to include interior throws and cushions.
