Fiona's work is highly illustrative and humorous engaging the viewer with scenes of lavish interiors and detailed figurative gatherings and revelry. She creates a wide range of hand painted interior items, including mirrors, boxes and candlesticks.
Constructed from wood they are painted in inks and watercolours before being finished with a clear or tinted glaze.
Much of the inspiration comes from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and historical tapestries hanging in grand country houses. Much of her commissioned work contains personal elements specific to the commissioner.
Year Established: 1990
