About Belinda Rose Designs

Personal Statement

Starting with an original image, drawing, photo or painting Belinda creates woven textile art. She uses image editing software to create fabric for a multitude of uses.

In jacquard and non jacquard work, Belinda's particular focus is to obtain highly textural effects, using an interplay of different fibres and through woven structure.

Belinda uses traditional natural materials including paper and other plant fibres.

Belinda offers weaving tuition and taster sessions in weaving and other textile techniques in a custom built weaving studio in rural Aberdeenshire.

Belinda accepts commissions for woven portraits and hangings.
