Bryony's work is based on a love of storytelling, movement and colour. Her elegant pieces bring a hint of humor and glamour to the simple items we use in our daily rituals. Covering a wide span from the theatrical to the everyday, the designs cleverly combine figurative sculpture and functionality with a large dollop of wit.
She makes an eclectic range of items from decanters and vases to card boxes and sprung paper-clips. Bryony's experience as Artist in Residence at Edinburgh Zoo has informed her recent collection- a series of kinetic silver objects, with function and form inspired by the essence of animals and birds.
Each individual piece is brought to life using the techniques of repousse and chasing, often with enamel or gilded details, creating functional silverware with a twist.
Bryony's studio is based in Edinburgh and she has been in business for 16 years, selling and exhibiting in the UK, Europe and USA. Her private and public clients include Winchester Cathedral, Princess Anne and JK Rowling.
