About Ash Cairns - Grim Faerytales

Personal Statement

I sculpt one of a kind fairies and fantasy creatures from polymer clay, as well as sculptural pendants.

I enjoy using a wide range of other crafts too, utilising things like drawing and painting, pyrography, papier mache, bead work and sewing and so on to make unusual items such as wands, daggers with custom handles, one of a kind dolls, art cards, cast wall plaques and customised bags and clothing.

I like to use as many techniques as possible to make a wide range of unusual items. Most of my work has a strong fantasy, nature or 'gothic' theme to it and I'm planning on branching out into some new crafts soon, such as clocks and dolls.
