About Jewellery by Laura McAllister

Personal Statement

JEWELLERY BY LAURA McALLISTER

Luscious fresh water pearls, the sparkle of Swarovski crystals and the beauty of semi-precious stones and colourful beads all combine in the making of my designs.

As well as stylish sterling silver pieces, I have an extensive range of modern, gorgeous beaded necklaces, earrings, bangles and bracelets. My necklace designs use beads linked by silver chain, hung on leather or floating on combinations of ribbon.

Now let me introduce myself. I am a self taught beader, inheriting my artistic flair from my father, Frederic Lonie, who was a Master Engraver at Edinburgh Crystal in Penicuik for over 40 years. I have always been interested in craftwork of all kinds. When I began designing and making my own jewellery, primarily in silver and then beading, that was it - I was hooked, and my passion for creating lovely things lead to Jewellery by Laura McAllister being “born”. My jewellery style is quite diverse as I continually search for new materials to use in my designs, which are always evolving.

I hope that the pleasure I get out of making my jewellery is reflected in my designs. Should you have any specific requirements in mind, please feel free to contact me either by phone or email.
