About Alice Boden - Tweedmatters

Personal Statement

Based on the shore of Loch Broom in the north west Highlands of Scotland, I design and make a range of small, framed collages and greetings cards which are also suitable for framing.I am very much influenced by the light and stunning landscapes here on the coast of Ross-shire. My works are small mementoes of the bigger picture.

I like to use my own handmade papers, Harris Tweed and other materials. I love the properties of the tweed: the texture and colour mixes in contemporary Harris Tweeds are wonderful. My work is small-scale and focuses on the fine detail of these textiles and my papers.
