Alison Macleod, a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone college of art, returned back home to the Outer Hebrides to start up her design business, Tiger Textiles, in July 2007.
Tiger Textiles offers a range of textile artworks and designs as well as the popular hand painted wall blocks which are ideal for gifts.
Alison is currently working on digital prints and embroidered tweed, which is being used in collaboration with fashion designers. Her designs are mainly inspired by the Hebrides-the changing culture, the beautiful surroundings and the Gaelic language.
Alison's aim is to portray this history and culture in a modern style.
