About Henri Macaulay - Smashing Glass

Personal Statement

Seaglass, seacoa lseastones and pottery shard jewellery - unique pieces each handcrafted on the Island of Gigha-a community-owned inner hebridean island. Brooches and pendants predominate. Stained glass earrings in jewel colours. Coal is 50 million years old - glass and pottery are from the more recent human past. Embellished with the simple spiral or left to speak for themselves - this is very much 'of the place' a piece of Kintyre. I sell through my own Gallery on the Island and my website. Also Mull Pottery in Tobermory, Zigzag in Dunkeld, Flux in Leith, Rosslin Chapel in Midlothian, Penicuik Arts Centre
