Making two types of mosaic sculpture for the garden.

This course teaches you two methods of creating three-dimensional mosaics for your garden. Over three days you will make a sturdy sculptural form of your choice, suitable for standing on a lawn, in a flower border or even in a pond. You will also make a smaller, hanging sculpture (such as a sphere or bird), suitable for hanging from a tree.

To begin with, we will explore possible forms and designs for your sculptures, using a wide range of inspirational material. The rest of Friday will be taken up with making the two structures, which you will work on alternately (between drying stages) until Sunday lunchtime. The last afternoon will be spent grouting and polishing your sparkly garden sculptures!

Mosaicing onto a sculptural form is an exciting challenge, so it is strongly recommended that you attend one of the two-day introductory outdoor mosaic courses before attempting this one!
