Laura Spring is an independent designer based in Glasgow whose current practice draws inspiration from everyday experiences such as the weather.
Laura has developed symbols and motifs relating to the weather into eye-popping fabric designs. In her studio she custom-makes a high percentage of her work, further outsourcing products with local manufacturers. She is currently focusing on the relationship between print and its function, through the design and production of a range of bespoke luggage and clothing. Laura Spring is originally from Staffordshire and now lives and works in Glasgow. She is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art where she was awarded a BA in Graphic Design in 2002. During the early part of her career she worked in costume design for film, TV and theatre and then went on to set up a textile-printing partnership in 2007, called Mouse and Bean, before trading under her own name since 2011. Opening times: Monday to Saturday Sunday Related Community ProfilesCategories |
