Exclusively Highlands artists and crafters are at Culloden Battlefield to demonstrate their crafts and illustrate their use of traditional techniques and Scottish materials.

This unique opportunity at Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre on 26th and 27th May will include the chance to meet some of the Exclusively Highlands craftspeople at work making traditional arts and crafts and an opportunity to purchase something unique and beautiful from them. Some of the Exclusively Highlands members will also invite anyone who wishes the chance to try out a range of traditional skills and techniques.

See silversmiths and jewellers at work, learn about Scottish pearls and agates and enamelling. See the traditional crafts of felting, knitting, embroidery, pottery making and woodworking and learn about the traditional uses of tweeds and other Scottish materials. Meet the makers themselves and see how traditional techniques and local materials are used to make contemporary items.

Culloden Battlefield is a perfect venue for Exclusively Highlands as it is the living embodiment of Highland history and culture. It also reflects many of the Exclusively Highlands members' work, with inspiration being taken from their Highland environment, history and traditions, albeit with a modern twist. Members of Exclusively Highlands are extremely knowledgeable about their field of work and this gives them a chance to share that knowledge and enthusiasm with the public.

This new event will be on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May from 10am until 4pm daily. Entrance into the Meet the Makers Exhibition is free.
