The Watermill Gallery is very pleased to be hosting 'Fire and Water' in conjunction with the Scottish Potters Association (SPA)

For its summer exhibition, The Watermill Gallery is hosting the Scottish Potters Association annual exhibition Fire and Water which celebrates the process of working with clay featuring pots, wall hangings, and sculptures.

The Watermill will show the work of 27 Scottish Potters from as far north as Caithness, as far west as the Isle of Skye, as far East as Port Soy and as far south as the Scottish Borders.

SPA exhibitions co-ordinator, Fiona Byrne-Sutton says: “ Fire and Water celebrates the process of working with clay and water. The diversity of work on display – functional pots, wall hangings and sculptural installations is testament both to the human imagination and the versatility of ancient geological clay which is formed through water erosion.”

Makers taking part include Ann Morrison, Anne Murray, Fione Byrne-Sutton, Kerstin Gren, Patricia Shone and Hannah McAndrew.
