Kelvingrove Gallery marks the 400th anniversary of glassmaking in Scotland with a unique exhibition of over seventy beautiful glass pieces drawn from Glasgow Museums' extensive collection.

Showcasing works by key manufacturers and artists working in Scotland from the early 18th century to the present day, it includes early bottles, Venetian inspired glass, fine engraved glass and late twentieth century art glass.

The display also includes a variety of the glass items most readily associated with the later twentieth century Scottish glass industry: paperweights.

Scottish Glass is a long-term display that will be open until summer 2012. The display can be found in Kelvignrove's Glasgow Style and Charles Rennie Mackintosh Gallery.

Opening times: 28th August 2010 – Summer 2012, Monday to Thursday and Saturday 10:00 – 17:00, Friday and Sunday 13:00 - 17:00
