Yungi - Textiles

Yungi was established by Brian Young in September 2003. He graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2000 then took an MA in Constructed Textiles at the Royal College of Art in London.  He will be selling the Yungi range of knitted throws and cushions, knitted in 100% pure lambswool giving the products an extremely soft and cosy feel.  The designs are inspired by road markings and architectural details. 

He was selected to sell work in Gifted at the National Museum of Scotland in 2007. He had two products shortlisted for the OXO Peugeot Design Award in 2003, won a £2000 scholarship from John Lewis in 2001 and in the same year was awarded a distinction and full membership of the Royal Society of Designer Craftsmen.
