An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, full-time curtain maker to join this fabric shop in Dundee.

The Fabric Mill at Halley Stevensons is Tayside’s largest fabric retailer, specialising in fabrics suitable for curtains and upholstery. As well as selling fabric by the metre, they also offer a bespoke Making Up service, which currently includes Curtains, Roman Blinds and cushions.
The successful applicant will work independently in completing Making Up orders. Based in your own workroom within the factory, you will have knowledge of different curtain headings, confidence working with a range of fabrics, including pattern matching, piping, plus experience working with a range of interlinings. You will have excellent attention to detail, an accurate finish and basic maths skills. Desirable skills include an ability to make loose covers, tie-backs, buckram pelmets, throws and bed covers. Training can be provided for the right person.
Working hours are full-time (8.30am-4.30pm). Good hourly rate. Benefits include excellent holiday allocation, discount in the shop and weekly pay. If successful for an interview you will be required to bring samples of your work.
