We are a husband and wife team with a passion for slipware that stems from our love of the age old tradition of country pottery that is part of the British folk heritage.
Although our roots are set firmly within tradition, our work is not simply pastiche. The pots are made with the finest of traditional craft skills, but we each embrace a contemporary style, making our work very much of our time. We work with red earthenware clays and coloured slips, firing in both wood and electric fueled kilns to produce pots with warmth and humanity.
We are both long established potters with international reputations, having travelled in Japan, across Europe and throughout the USA, to exhibit and deliver workshops and lectures. Although we are partners in life and business and share influences and workplace, our styles, compliment but remain clearly distinct from each other.
