The Open Eye Gallery has been established since 1982 and is one of Scotland’s leading contemporary private art galleries. Set in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town in a former Georgian townhouse, it offers an extensive and varied exhibition programme of Scottish contemporary painting, printmaking and applied arts throughout the year.
The gallery mounts up to twenty crafts exhibitions every year, specialising in ceramics, wood, glass, jewellery and sculpture. It seeks to promote makers creating innovative design in Scotland and the rest of the UK. The gallery represents well-established makers, as well as those at the start of their careers, in a constantly changing programme of stimulating exhibitions.
