Tickets for this event have now sold out.
Maker Lucy Roscoe will guide you through traditional bookbinding skills to create three book forms, and plenty of ideas! Materials will be provided at this fun beginners workshop. Lucy Roscoe is an illustrator and maker based in Edinburgh, using drawing, printmaking and craft skills to explore how sculptural books can be used to tell stories.
Lucy graduated with an MFA in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art in 2010 and continues to teach on the undergraduate Illustration programme.
Parents, carers and guardians may attend to assist young makers if required.
These maker-led workshops are part of a larger showcase, the Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019. Returning to the second floor of White Stuff in Edinburgh's city centre, the show will present work from over 41 designer/makers based in Scotland. Discover statement handmade objects for you, and your home, from established and emerging makers from Friday 2 to Sunday 25 August 2019.
