Making Multiples – Mould-Making & Casting with Alys Owen
Wednesdays | 1800 – 2030
3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th Oct
Over 4 sessions this course will introduce you to a range of mould-making and casting techniques. Experimenting with materials such as clay, plaster, silicone, and alginate, you’ll learn how to cast from life and work with found objects to make and manipulate cast objects. This course will equip you with a variety of practical skills that you will then be supported to apply to your own projects and ideas.
Alys Owen‘s sculptural practice encompasses a wide range of media. She utilises drawing, video and sculpture to explore relationships between humans, animals and the natural world. She creates immersive environments that offer a form of escapism through constructed realities that question how we see ourselves.
