The Craft Scotland 2010 AGM was held on Friday 27th August 2010 at the City Chambers, High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ.

Lisa Bayne of The Guild/Artful Home joined us as the first international speaker at a Craft Scotland AGM. Lisa talked about her role and her passion for marketing craft to paying customers using online marketing.
Lisa Bayne is the Chief Executive Officer of The Guild/Artful Home. During the two and a half years under her stewardship, Lisa has successfully led the company through this difficult economic environment and created a business model which works for both artists and consumers. Bayne drives the vision, strategy, and marketing of Artful Home and The Guild, which currently markets the work of more than 1,000 North American craft and fine artists through the print catalog, Artful Home, and online site www.artfulhome.com. Prior to her role as CEO of The Guild, Lisa served on its board of directors for 18 months as independent director. Lisa’s passion for the arts, and craft in particular, has been lifelong, starting with her training as a textile artist and persisting today as a serial knitter. Her expertise in and passion for the range of craft media and disciplines fuels her constant interaction with artists and collectors across the country.
A former executive vice president and chief marketing officer at J. Jill, Bayne was responsible for direct (both catalog and online), retail, and brand marketing. Prior to J. Jill, Bayne served as senior vice president of brand for the Gymboree Corporation and senior vice president of marketing for Smith & Hawken. She also held numerous executive-level positions at Eddie Bauer, including, most recently, senior vice president of creative services and brand marketing. Bayne holds a BFA in textiles and fine arts from the California College of the Arts (CCA) in Oakland, California, and an associate’s degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California.
