Contemporary Young Artist Award 2020

Calling UK artists! Enter for the chance to win £2000 and a solo show at The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle.

Closing date: 26 Jan 2020

The Contemporary Young Artist Award, created by The Biscuit Factory Foundation, the charitable arm of The Biscuit Factory - the UK’s largest independent art, craft and design gallery – provides artists aged 35 and under with a unique commercial platform to showcase their work. Along with the opportunity for a solo show at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle in 2021, the winner will also be awarded £2000 within the overall prize package.

Submissions are accepted across a range of media, including paintings, photography, handmade prints, sculpture, glass, ceramics and textiles, before 26 January 2020. The gallery’s in-house curatorial team will then select the overall winner.

A group exhibition featuring work from all of the shortlisted entrants will sit as the headline show for their Spring Exhibition (6 March – 24 May). The public can also vote for their People’s Choice Winner, who will be awarded £500.
