Craft Scotland is inviting applications from makers for an exciting new exhibition showcasing contemporary craft. We are seeking up to 50 makers who represent an array of materials, techniques, and career stages. Pieces on display will be available to buy at a wide range of prices, from £30 to £20,000+.
Our aim is to present a vibrant and expansive showcase of contemporary Scottish craft to a broad audience, including both existing collectors and new buyers.

About HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair
HARVEST: Contemporary Craft Fair will be an ambitious showroom and multi-discipline selling showcase for up to 50 makers from across Scotland. Curated by independent craft and design curator Dr Stacey Hunter, the Fair will bring together different forms of contemporary craft to an expansive audience.
Taking place at Edinburgh’s City Art Centre from Thursday 9 – Sunday 19 October, this multi-disciplinary Fair will reflect the rich diversity and talent within Scotland’s craft scene.
At the heart of HARVEST is a celebration of contemporary craft and conviviality where the themes of food and hospitality are explored, and where the joy of gathering is brought to life through a curated gallery and retail experience.

How to apply?
To apply to take part, please fill in the application form by 5pm, Mon 23 June 2025
For guidance and further information on how to fill out your application check out our A Maker’s Guide to Applications article.
We can also offer additional support with your application such as Scribing, which is when you talk through your answers with a member of the team and they fill out the form on your behalf.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application during the week commencing 21 July 2025.

Eligibility criteria & selection process
To be eligible to participate in HARVEST makers must:
- Be living and working in Scotland
- Produce work that is the design of the maker and made by the maker (or small-batch production under their direct supervision)
- Be working in one or more of Craft Scotland’s eligible disciplines
- Produce work that reflects excellence and the unique vision of its maker, is well-conceived and skilfully made
- Submit work that falls within the scope of the theme of HARVEST
- Have work that will be available to be displayed and sold by Craft Scotland during the timeframe of the show
Selection for the Open Call will be based upon the following criteria:
- Quality of your work (technical ability, design and/or concept)
- Professionalism based on the images and information provided
- How suitable your work is for the audience and the show itself
- How the work falls within the scope of HARVEST and the curatorial vision of the Fair’s Director.
- Whether the price-point of your work is suitable for a retail event
Makers for this opportunity will be chosen alongside a selection panel of industry experts, who will be announced soon.
Fees & costs
There will not be a participation fee to exhibit at HARVEST. Craft Scotland will take 40% commission on all sales.
