The online Clay Portraiture course includes:
- 8 Weekly group sessions via Zoom (16 hours)
- Demonstration videos in advance of each session
- Individual virtual tutorials with Duncan Robertson
- Course materials*
The weekly demonstration videos will cover how to make a maquette, anatomy and form, proportions and measuring, facial features, overall composition and hollowing out the head. The course prioritises hands on learning with the materials, drawing on the extensive knowledge of the tutor.
*Materials will be available for scheduled collection from Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop before the course start date. If you do not live in the Edinburgh area a list of materials and suppliers will be provided.
This course is suitable for people with experience who want to improve their skills, suitable for complete beginners, adaptable and tailored to your own project, and informative, skills focused and sociable.
