In this 2.5 hour workshop you'll be introduced to Jesmonite AC100 and it’s various uses, and shown how to use it to create your own placemat to take home. In this workshop you will learn the technique of splattering to produce a placemat with Jackson Pollock inspired splatter patterns.
During this workshop you will learn:
How to mix and pigment Jesmonite AC100 with your own choice of colours
How to pour and cast Jesmonite AC100 using silicone moulds
How to make a placemat with a splatter pattern
How to safely demould your creations
Tips for how to finish your pieces to give a more professional look
How to seal your pieces to protect them against general wear and tear
