A two-day blacksmithing course designed to give participants the skills, experience and confidence to work independently on a forge. The first day of the course will focus on tending a forge and learning about the different elements of a blacksmithing workshop. You will work through a series of exercises with support from an expert technician to become confident in the vocabulary and skill of basic blacksmithing techniques.
On the second day, you will be supported to apply your new skills and knowledge to work on your own piece. Selected from a range of possible projects you will be able to be creative with your new skills.
If you have any suggestions, questions or requirements relating to accessibility at SSW, please get in touch and they will make every effort to support you to visit.
