Tapestry Showcase offers aspiring weavers and students of weaving the opportunity to exhibit in a venue of national prestige.
Closing date: 29 Oct 2019
We are now accepting submissions from aspiring weavers for the 2019 Tapestry Showcase.
The Tapestry Showcase is an exhibition of small-scale tapestries by amateur and emerging artists staged by The Cordis Prizes for Tapestry. Hosted since 2015 by The Scottish Café, we are delighted to return in 2019 to their fabulous newly renovated premises. The purpose of the showcase is to encourage the work of aspiring weavers, and to give them a platform to exhibit and sell their work in a venue of national prestige. We welcome open submissions from amateur tapestry artists, nevertheless the standard of artistic merit and technical competence is always high! One exhibitor will be chosen as the recipient of a £250 prize.
Many opportunities are uploaded by craft people, places, and organisations. Craft Scotland does not organise the opportunities and is not responsible for incorrect details. Any queries should be directed to the organiser.
