Call for Entries - Big Art Show 2024

An open call for entries for Paisley's Big Art Show. Any artist, any medium, suitable for exhibition.

The Big Art Show, Paisley is one of Scotland's largest open entry art exhibitions. Launched in 2022 the first edition featured nearly 1000 artworks from all over the UK as well as artwork from Europe & Asia. In 2023 the show doubled in size over 3 floors showing 1712 entries.

Work accepted includes painting, drawing, photography, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, installation art, digital, film, video and sound.  Prizes are awarded.  The show in 2024 runs for three months and most work is for sale. A full-colour souvenir catalogue is produced.  Upwards of 15,000 visitors are expected.

The show is organised by Outspoken Arts Scotland Ltd, A Scottish Charity SC023620, in conjunction with Art Paisley Ltd, a panel of professional artists, who select the work and manage the volunteers who help hang the show.  Art Paisley selectors will offer a number of Prizes and work closely with other arts organisations developing creative partnerships with upcoming talent.

- Selected Artists will be notified by 1st July 2024.
- Hand-in for artists starts Mon 22nd July to Sat 3rd August 2024, 10am-4pm (closed Sunday/Monday).
- The Art Department, 2-10 Causeyside Street, Paisley, PA1 1UQ.
- Artwork can be for Sale and our commission is 25%+VAT (VAT is on commission element only).
- Remittance 28 days after exhibition close.
- Selected works will pay a hanging fee of £10 per picture or piece.  Payable on arrival at the hand-in.  Cash or cards accepted.
- Artwork should be framed and be either strung or have mirror plates for hanging.
