Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal

CHARTS invites applications for Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal, a new place-based award scheme supporting creative work focused on Gaelic language and culture.

Closing date: 22 May 2026

This awards scheme is all about Gaelic significance, open to fluent Gaelic speakers or learners who are artists/heritage practitioners living in Argyll, and whose creative practice builds around the importance of Gaelic context, language and/or culture. Individuals, partnerships or organisations are welcome to apply.

12 awards will be offered in total, with 3 awards of £1000 issued across each of the 4 local council areas in Argyll and Bute.

The awards aim to support a variety of expressive arts work across a range of media, and submissions may include proposals to support the development of new work or build on existing work with a clear rationale to do so, highlighting the importance of Gaelic in an Argyll, Place, context.

Please see Cruthaich Earra-Ghàidheal Open Call for full details / further information.
