The University of Edinburgh is delighted to announce scholarship opportunities, which can be used for studying on the Master of Arts (MA) in Craft degree programme.

These scholarships aim to support talented artists in their educational pursuits at ECA’s esteemed School of Design for the academic year starting September 2026.
Edinburgh College of Art Scholarship Details:
1. John L Paterson PG Design Scholarship
o Amount: £8,000 applicable towards tuition fees and any residual amount towards living costs.
o Eligibility: Open to applicants from the UK and overseas who are applying for full-time study in the MA Craft programme. Available for study on the MA Craft and the MA Design for Change.
2. Andrew Grant PG Scholarship
o Amount: £13,700, similarly allocated towards tuition fees and any residual amount towards living costs.
o Eligibility: Open to applicants from the UK and overseas who are applying for full-time study in the MA Craft programme, applicants can apply to study on other ECA master’s programmes through this scholarship scheme.
Both scholarships are tenable for one academic year (2026-2027) and are aimed at supporting students who demonstrate significant potential and creativity in crafts.
Application Process and Deadlines:
• Programme Application Deadline: Applications for the MA Craft programme must be submitted by March 23, 2026 (in advance of the scholarship application deadline).
• Scholarship Application Deadline: Scholarship applications must be submitted by April 6, 2026.
Applicants are encouraged to apply early, as access to the scholarship application system requires up to five working days following the submission of the admission application.
