A hands-on role offering experience across registration, exhibitions and the day-to-day life of a working gallery.
Closing date: 10 Apr 2026
The Scottish Gallery is one of the UK’s leading independent galleries for modern and contemporary art. Founded in 1842 and based in Edinburgh’s New Town, they deliver a year-round programme of exhibitions, publications and events, engaging collectors and audiences both in person and online.
They are seeking a Junior Registrar to join a small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on role offering experience across registration, exhibitions and the day-to-day life of a working gallery. You will work closely with the Senior Registrar and Directors, supporting the input, care, presentation and movement of artworks, while also playing an important role front-of-house. This position would suit someone at an early stage in their career who is highly organised, attentive to detail and keen to develop practical experience in a commercial gallery setting.
