OFICI, Traditional Craft Fair

Applications are invited from creators who represent excellence and tradition in craftsmanship to take part in OFICI, Traditional Craft Fair in Barcelona.

Closing date: 30 Jun 2026

OFICI, Traditional Craft Fair, is created with the mission of promoting the craft sector, under the organisation of the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM) and the agency Le Département, with the support of the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia. This strategic alliance aims to enhance the development of a platform that promotes the integration of traditional craftsmanship into contemporary markets.

The fair is conceived as a space that highlights traditional trades in the current context. Its goal is to give visibility to and promote excellent artisanal work, facilitating encounters between professionals, industry influencers, creators, and the general public. In this way, craftsmanship is positioned as a cultural, creative, and economic practice of the highest order, fostering knowledge exchange and the sector’s visibility.

The event will take place on November 6, 7, and 8, 2026.

Open Call for Artisans | May 1 to June 30, 2026

Applications are invited from creators who represent excellence and tradition in craftsmanship. In this first edition, a Cultural Committee composed of specialists from various disciplines will be responsible for evaluating the portfolios, selecting those pieces that stand out for their technical mastery, creative value, and ability to convey the essence of traditional craftsmanship.

Who can apply?

The call is open to individual artisans, collectives, artisan brands, associations, and institutions that share this vision of quality.

Disciplines and vision

OFICI are interested in exploring the balance between craft and commercial vision through traditional craftsmanship. For this reason, they welcome proposals focused on working with ceramics, jewellery, lacquer, metal, glass, paper, or wood, as well as projects that engage with textiles, plant-based fibres, and experimentation with new biomaterials or any other material that enters into dialogue with craft and technique.

Application process

To participate, interested individuals must submit a complete professional portfolio. This document should reflect not only the quality of the finished pieces through high-resolution images, but also the craft behind them, the detail of the materials, the creative process, and the artisan’s career through their curriculum vitae. Each proposal will be carefully reviewed by our committee according to criteria of rigor and artisanal excellence.
