Submit design-led objects for a curated takeover of the Hox Shop at The Hoxton, Shoreditch, during London Design Festival.
Closing date: 10 Jul 2026
Slancha is partnering with The Hoxton, Shoreditch to curate a special takeover of the Hox Shop during London Design Festival.
As The Hoxton celebrates 20 years in Shoreditch, Slancha are inviting makers, artists and designers to submit work for consideration. Selected pieces will be purchased by The Hoxton and presented as part of a curated retail programme during London Design Festival.
Theme: Travel Light
This open call invites submissions that explore the idea of travel in its broadest sense. Makers are encouraged to consider movement, temporary living, hotel rituals, souvenirs, useful objects, portable pieces, everyday essentials, and items that feel connected to a hotel shop, without being overly literal.
Slancha are looking for thoughtful, design-led objects that are accessible, commercially viable, and suitable for a curated retail environment. Products should feel considered, well-made and aligned with a contemporary audience.
Submissions may include, but are not limited to:
• Homeware and tabletop objects
• Travel accessories and useful everyday items
• Stationery and printed matter
• Jewellery and wearable objects
• Small sculptural pieces
• Gifts and collectible objects
• Fragrance, self-care and ritual-based products
• Objects inspired by hospitality, travel and contemporary living
Key Information
• Open to makers, artists and designers based anywhere, with preference given to work that aligns strongly with the brief
• Products must have a retail price of up to £100 RRP
• Selected works will be purchased by The Hoxton for retail sale in the Hox Shop
• Products will be showcased during London Design Festival at The Hoxton, Shoreditch
• Multiple units may be required for selected products
