A self-directed winter residency programme based in Uig, Isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides

This winter residency scheme is open to artists and makers working in all media, with space for collectives, or partners and families also welcome. The residency can be designed to fit with your personal practice and can be based on research or production.
Situated in Uig, Isle of Lewis, this residency offers an opportunity to completely immerse yourself in a stimulating, expansive and awe-inspiring environment in which to explore new practices and possibilities. Suitable for Artists, makers and creatives with an interest in place-based practices, or simply those looking for space and time to think, undertake research and development or production.
Fees (2025/26)
This residency scheme is self-directed and offers discounted self-catering accommodation:
£700 for one week
£1,200 for two weeks
£1,500 for three weeks

Minimum stay one-week, maximum stay three weeks
