Over twenty years ago I founded ACME Studios; a creative collective working within the museums and heritage sector, providing interpretive responses to sites and situations that communicate stories in playful and engaging ways.Acme Atelier has evolved from this, merging my craft skills with my design expertise to explore contemporary forms within traditional kiltmaking. What began as my personal tradition, developed into a passion and has now become my profession. By connecting curious minds and craftmakers hands I find new ways to presenting other craft disciplines within my kiltmaking. Extending my professional practise to incorporate other makers allows collaborations to conceptually and technically develop kilts, textiles, leatherwork, printmaking and finishes that widen the perspective and potential for what kiltmaking can be, whilst respecting the methods and values inherited from our past to preserve them for our future.
